To day I had to look for a part on the internet and was directed to a sight and found no listing for the USA only a listing for north america. I guess that is ok as it is good for the corporate world. Mexico and Texas and other parts of the US not much differance bussness wise.

There is a great deal of in-depth reading behind those links. It boogles the mind, and there's no doubt in my mind that the push for greater connection between Canada, Mexico and the United States is definitely on someone's agenda.

The information on the Security and Prosperity Partnership website is almost frightening due to the the overwhelming amount of bullet-point jargon it contains. It reads like an over-blown resume. The double-speak in it has me shaking my head and thinking, "It almost sounds reasonable on the surface; but what are they really saying?" (I really get annoyed when terms like "facilitate" show up in practically every paragraph.)

Quoting from the SPP Home Page:
"This trilateral initiative is premised on our security and our economic prosperity being mutually reinforcing. The SPP recognizes that our three great nations are bound by a shared belief in freedom, economic opportunity, and strong democratic institutions."

Sure, sounds good....but what exactly is mutually reinforcing economic prosperity? And maybe the SPP recognizes a 'shared belief in freedom, economic opportunity and strong democratic institutions', but I'm not seeing it. I see a great many differences in how America, Mexico and Canada define and act upon each one of those areas. (Isn't Mexico's democratic government something established in the very recent past?)

Another gem quoted from the "Agenda" Page under the bullet on Investing in People:
"...strengthen our cooperation in the development of human capital in North America, including by expanding partnerships in higher education, science, and technology."

Someone, please define "human capital". It sounds pretty ominous and Orwellian to me!

If you haven't read through these links, people, you better get busy!

I suspect that a great many powerful someones, somewhere are going to get rich off this, but it isn't going to be me and it isn't going to be you and it isn't going to be Average-Joe/Jose in Canada or Mexico either.
