Melamine contamination extends to human food
Thursday, May 3rd, 2007The FDA released the following on April 27, indicating that it is detaining a lot of food imports from China. Melamine seems to be in a lot of the rice, corn, and wheat glutens coming out of China. I bet if you check the labels on your shelves, you’ll find gluten mentioned in most of the ingredient lists. But we have no way of knowing if the glutens in our house are contaminated. If it was this easy to contaminate U.S. food by accident, think about how easy it would be for terrorists to do it on purpose.
